A leisure fit-out company based in County Armagh has landed a significant £30 million contract to outfit a cruise ship in Germany. The Deluxe Group, located in Portadown, will spend the next 12 months designing and installing dining and entertainment areas on the vessel, which is scheduled to embark on voyages in the Far East next year.

This contract represents the largest project in the company’s history. However, the client and the specific cruise ship remain undisclosed.

The Deluxe Group has a history in the cruise industry dating back to the 1990s and has been expanding its portfolio with new projects over the past six years.

The company has noted a growing demand for its services, driven by the increasing popularity of themed entertainment venues on cruise ships.

The prefabrication work will be carried out using advanced 3D digital technology at the company’s Portadown facilities, where a recent £1.5 million investment has led to the creation of 30 new jobs.
