The global hospitality group Accor announces the market launch of its Brand Handwritten Collection in Germany. In partnership with MUZE Hotels, the brand will open its first hotel in Dusseldorf in mid-November 2024, adding to its existing portfolio of currently 17 carefully curated hotels around the world.

The MUZE Hotel Dusseldorf is an elegant fusion of art and a refined sense of hospitality. The hotel offers 60 rooms, a bar, a state-of-the-art meeting room and an in-house art exhibition.

Launched in 2023, the Handwritten Collection was created with the aim of bringing together independent small and medium-sized hotels that reflect the personality and warmth of their hoteliers, while offering the international standard of service and quality for which the Accor Group is renowned.

The advantage for hoteliers is that they can maintain the individuality of their hotel and still take advantage of the expertise and infrastructure of the hospitality group, which comprises 5,700 hotels, including the strong sales, marketing, distribution and loyalty channels. The growing portfolio of the collection brand, which is positioned in the midscale segment, includes flagships such as Number 11 St Julian’s Malta, Hotel Morris Sydney, Saint Gervais Hotel & Spa and Oru Hub Hotel Tallinn.

“After a rocket-like launch of the brand last year, we are proud to open the first hotel of the Handwritten Collection in Germany in November with our partner MUZE Hotels,” says Thiemo Willms, Vice President Development Central Europe at Accor. “The unique character of the hotel, combined with the city’s vibrant energy and rich cultural scene, fits perfectly with our brand’s philosophy of providing an authentic, charming and personal guest experience.”

The MUZE Hotel Düsseldorf – Handwritten Collection is located in the trendy district of Pempelfort. Inspired by the elegance of Art Deco, each of the boutique hotel’s 60 rooms features a unique blend of natural materials and bold accents. From the cozy standard rooms to the luxurious deluxe suites, every detail contributes to a welcoming atmosphere. The Venerie Bar serves an indulgent breakfast buffet in the morning before transforming into a relaxed cocktail bar during the day. For business travellers, there is a modern meeting room that can accommodate up to 18 people. What sets the MUZE Hotel Düsseldorf apart from other hotels is its unique art experience: a curated collection entitled “A Voyage Within” with artworks by Vangelis Kyris and Anatoli Georgiev turns the hotel into a living art gallery.

“The MUZE Hotel Düsseldorf – Handwritten Collection is more than just a place to stay. It is a destination in itself that offers a unique and memorable guest experience,” explains Oded Zizovy, Chief Executive Officer, MUZE Hotels. “We are pleased to represent the brand as the first hotel in Germany in the future and to give the Handwritten Collection our very personal signature.”

The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the sights and central points of Düsseldorf. Guests can walk to the city’s main shopping street, Königsallee, in just 10 minutes, as well as world-class museums and the picturesque Rhine River. Due to the excellent public transport connections, the MUZE Hotel Düsseldorf is also an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. The nearest airport is 7 kilometres away, and the main train station is about 1.5 kilometres away.
