The Hari London, The Hari Hong Kong and the forthcoming Hari Singapore will join IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection later this year, marking a significant evolution for the Harilela Group’s luxury portfolio.
The move extends a strategic relationship between the two companies that spans more than five decades and now covers six hotels across Asia and Europe.
The Vignette Collection allows independent luxury hotels to retain their own identity while benefiting from IHG’s global scale and loyalty programme, provided they meet strict criteria around design, guest experience and community impact . When The Hari Singapore opens next spring, it will become the brand’s first property in the market.
Dr Aron Harilela, Chairman and CEO of the Harilela Group, said the partnership preserves The Hari’s character while connecting it to a global community of travellers who value individuality and authenticity. “The Hari expresses these ideals through genuine, heartfelt hospitality and impeccable service steeped in my family’s decades‑long hospitality legacy,” he said.
Designed by British interior designer Tara Bernerd, each Hari hotel features elegant, layered interiors and rotating art collections showcasing established and emerging local artists . The brand is known for immersive neighbourhood experiences—from insider guides to Belgravia and Wan Chai to curated audio tours and night‑time explorations that reveal local culture beyond the tourist trail.
The Hari also champions community impact through initiatives such as its annual Art Prize, EarthCheck certifications and ongoing charity partnerships, reinforcing its commitment to “A Means for Good,” one of the Vignette Collection’s core pillars.
IHG’s Rajit Sukumaran said welcoming The Hari strengthens the Vignette Collection’s presence in London and Hong Kong and marks its debut in Singapore, as the brand accelerates toward its goal of more than 100 hotels within its first decade.
For travellers, the partnership promises a blend of independent character and global consistency—design‑led hotels rooted in local culture, now backed by one of the world’s largest hospitality groups.
