The Hotel Group (THG), an affiliate of Hotel Equities, in partnership with co-owners Hogback Development Company, is thrilled to announce it has acquired land to develop a Marriott StudioRes in Moses Lake, WA.

StudioRes is Marriott International’s new midscale, extended stay lodging brand appealing to investors for its focus on the short-term rental market and building/design efficiencies. The smart, modern, all-studio hotel will feature spacious suites providing an exceptional option for travellers seeking convenience, comfort, and flexibility- especially for longer stays- in the central Washington market.
Intended to provide a home-like environment with all the modern amenities that today’s travellers expect, the property aims to meet the demands of both business and leisure travellers by offering a blend of functionality, comfort, and style. Public spaces in the Marriott StudioRes Moses Lake will include a well-equipped fitness centre, laundry facilities, a communal table for guests to gather and socialize, a covered patio for outdoor relaxation, and a vending area offering a variety of food items and guest essentials.
Each guest room will offer flexible shower or shower/tub options, fully equipped kitchens featuring a refrigerator/freezer, sink, cooktop, and optional microwave and dishwasher, complemented by open shelving for storage. The rooms will also include an open closet concept and a distinctive “mudroom” area, providing added convenience and functionality for extended stay guests.
The Marriott StudioRes Moses Lake is the 5th hotel development project that THG and Hogback have partnered to build. Construction is set to begin early 2025, with an anticipated opening in Spring 2026. The hotel’s site is located adjacent to the co-owner’s already open and operating Fairfield Inn & Suites Moses Lake.  THG and Hogback are dedicated to ensuring the new-build Marriott StudioRes will set a new benchmark for hospitality with extended stay hotels in the region.
