Radisson Hotel Group reveals the rebranding of prizeotel, the successful affordable high design brand, to Prize by Radisson and announces two new Prize by Radisson hotel signings, accelerating its expansion across key destinations in Germany together with its market entry in Poland.
Radisson Hotel Group reaffirms its commitment to significantly grow its portfolio by announcing the rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson as well as the signing of two Prize by Radisson hotels across Central Europe. This strategic milestone and rebranding underscores Radisson Hotel Group’s dedication to broadening the brand’s presence in vibrant, centrally located markets and cities.
The transition from prizeotel to Prize by Radisson aligns the dynamic affordable high design brand more closely with the Group’s core values and “Yes I Can!” guest experience and emphasizes the commitment to delivering a high standard of service in an informal communal experience. Renowned for its vibrant and fresh design, the rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson preserves the eclectic character of the brand’s original identity. Prize by Radisson continues to offer a midscale lifestyle experience with a unique personality at the cost of an economy hotel, featuring bright, energized spaces ideal for modern living, work, and social interaction.

The two signings across key European destinations are testament to the exciting expansion plans of Prize by Radisson across all contract types, leased, managed as well as franchised hotels, with the right solution for every market.
Prize by Radisson, Gdansk City, scheduled to open in 2026, is a 126-room newly built property located only 300m away from the city’s famous boulevard and its renowned architecture along the Motlawa river. Gdansk, where historic charm meets modern vibrancy, is a booming economic hub and a must-visit destination, seamlessly blending centuries-old architecture with dynamic opportunities for business and leisure. The ground floor of the hotel will house a restaurant as well as a bar. Gdansk airport, the third largest airport in Poland, is 17km away from the hotel, whereas the main train station is approximately 2km away from the hotel.
Prize by Radisson, Berlin City, scheduled to open in 2027, the 315-room property will be part of a new mixed-use development in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district. Situated only around 10 minutes from Alexanderplatz, the hotel offers smooth connectivity to the city’s attractions, nightlife, trade fair, airport, and long-distance train stations. In line with PrizePromise, the brand’s ESG commitment, the building aims for DGNB Gold certification and will feature various uses, with the hotel occupying about 60% of the property’s land. The top floor will house the hotel lobby, bar, social area with co-working space, and breakfast restaurant, all offering stunning views of Berlin’s city center.
Since its launch in Germany in 2009, Prize by Radisson has redefined the midscale design hotel concept by merging smart lifestyle elements with affordable accommodation. The brand expanded in 2022 with new properties in Bonn, Vienna, and Münster. Currently, the Prize by Radisson portfolio consists of 21 properties in operation and under development across Europe, including the highly anticipated opening of Prize by Radisson, Osnabrück City in 2025. This 170-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development in central Osnabrück, offering convenient transport links and including residential, hotel, dining, and retail spaces.
