From pre-flight performances to luxury dining, Heathrow reveals exciting experiences guaranteed to get holidaymakers into the summer spirit.

More passengers than ever are travelling through Heathrow en route to adventure, with 30m passengers expected to pass through its doors this summer. To entertain passengers of all ages before they board, the airport has unveiled new seasonal activities across its terminals, including ping pong, table football and kids’ crafts.

Play pre-flight ping pong and table football

Passengers waiting to jet off on their holidays can kick off the summer fun early by engaging in some friendly competition over classic tabletop games. Heathrow has installed a football table and a digital ping pong table in each of its departure lounges, in celebration of this year’s sport-filled British summer. The new, free-to-play games will be available to passengers until the 12th of August.

Create crafts with the kids

Heathrow’s arts and crafts trolleys are back by popular demand! Keep the kids entertained by taking part in a range of fun, mess-free activities, including colouring, origami, magic painting, card making, foil art, and scratch art before boarding.

Kick off the school holidays with free kids’ meals

Make the most of Heathrow’s Kids Eat Free offer across all terminals, this summer. Until the 1st of September, adults ordering a main menu option from participating restaurants can choose a free kids’ meal per child. With great restaurants to choose from, and a wide range of dishes, the whole family will be spoilt for choice!

Have a pre-flight flight at The Vinery

Feeling indulgent? Terminal 2’s newly-opened wine bar, The Vinery, is the perfect place to pause for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Celebrating English wines, The Vinery offers a dazzling selection of drinks, a seasonally tailored food menu and themed tasting flights for those looking to sample a range of sommelier-selected flavours.

Travel in style, with Heathrow’s Personal Shopper service

Heathrow’s pre-bookable Personal Shopper service is perfect for those looking to treat themselves to a luxury experience. In exclusive Personal Shopper lounges across terminals 2, 3 and 5, a team of trained stylists is on hand to provide expert fashion and gifting advice to make the pre-flight shopping experience effortless and enjoyable. Subject to availability, passengers can book this complementary free service via the Heathrow website.

Enjoy an on-the-go cappuccino

Heathrow’s newest Starbucks has everything you need to refuel before a flight, offering relaxing seating areas and a grab-and-go counter. With interiors inspired by the natural landscapes of coffee-growing regions, the new store in Terminal 5 was designed with every journey in mind.

Have an artisanal dining experience at Jones The Grocer

This summer, Terminal 2 became the home of the first Jones The Grocer store in the UK. The casual dining restaurant and gourmet grocer offers a tranquil setting to enjoy modern, artisanal meals when you have time to spare, and a Jones the Grocer Express counter for passengers who are hungry in a hurry.

Embark on a sensory journey at Europe’s first The Macallan Boutique

Offering a unique collection of The Macallan whiskies and a luxury shopping experience, The Macallan Boutique in Terminal 5 is a celebration of The Macallan’s past, present, and future. Passengers visiting this first-of-its-kind boutique will be invited on a sensory journey, bringing to life the peerless spirit of The Macallan Estate.
