Uber for Business has expanded its Avios rewards scheme to provide business travellers with extra benefits when they book rides or order meals through the app.
Business travellers already earn double Avios rewards when they take a trip with Uber for Business. However, the scheme is being extended to reward users when they take advantage of other functions within the app.
The scheme expansion means users can now also gain Avios when placing Uber Eats orders, when they book premium vehicles, take airport trips or utilise the Uber Reserve prebook function.
The boosted Avios reward scheme will see business travellers earn:
-
2 Avios per £1 on eligible Uber Eats orders*
-
4 Avios per £1 on UberX Airport trips
-
4 Avios per £1 on Uber Business Exec, Business Comfort, XL, Exec XXL and Black Cabs
-
6 Avios per £1 on Uber Reserve
Andrew Laughlan, head of enterprise UK at Uber for Business, said: “We’ve been providing Avios rewards on trips for some time, and it has proved extremely popular. This expansion is now rewarding users when they take advantage of the many other functions available in the app. When they order food, book premium vehicles or reserve a trip in advance, they now see extra benefits.”
Business travellers can use Avios earned through Uber For Business to fund their own personal trips. It can be used to purchase flights, hotels and rental vehicles. Avios can also be converted into Nectar points on a 1:1 basis to spend on groceries, fuel and more.
To benefit from these extras, Uber for Business users simply need to toggle to their business profile in the Uber app.
*Uber for Business users can collect 2 Avios per £1 of Qualifying Spend on eligible Uber Eats online food orders in the UK, including Northern Ireland, or the Republic of Ireland, where the minimum Qualifying Spend of £25/€25 per order is met. Qualifying Spend on Uber Eats means the basket subtotal before promotions and/or discounts, excluding delivery fees, service fees, tips and any other additional charges. Grocery and retail orders are not excluded.
