Virgin Atlantic customers will be able to fly on the airline’s services from London Heathrow to Mumbai and Delhi and connect onto Indigo flights to and from seven additional cities in India. These include Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Amritsar and Goa.
The agreement will expand to cover a total of 16 destinations throughout India later this year, such as Kochi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Pune, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Vadodara, Indore and Visakhapatnam.
Members of Virgin’s Flying Club will also be able to earn both Virgin points and Tier Points on every codeshare with Indigo.
Flights are available to book this week for travel beyond September 27, subject to government approval.

Virgin recently increased its service from London Heathrow to Delhi to double-daily.
