Virgin Red is continuing to add new options for members to redeem their Virgin Points, with the latest partnership with Eurostar.
Members of Virgin’s rewards club can redeem Eurostar vouchers in the value of £10 (2,000 points), £25 (5,000 points), £50 (10,000 points) and £100 (20,000 points) on Virgin Red.
These vouchers can then be used for travel to cities such as Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and Lille.
Eurostar recently merged with Thalys, with the new group currently serving 29 destinations in Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the UK – including a new ski service from London to the Alps via Lille.
Speaking about the move, Andrea Burchett, chief loyalty officer and managing director for Virgin Red, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Eurostar to offer our members the chance to explore the continent with Virgin Points. Travel is a huge part of what Virgin Red is about, and we’re thrilled that our members can now reward themselves with travel to more than 100 destinations with Eurostar. Bon voyage!”
The Virgin Red scheme was officially opened up to new members in 2021, allowing Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members to join Virgin Red and link their accounts together, expanding earn and burn opportunities.
Both schemes use the same currency, following the rebranding of Flying Club miles as Virgin Points in September 2020.
The group has gradually been adding earning and redemption options to the Virgin Red programme, with 56 new retailers unveiled as online points earning partners in August 2022, Cineworld, Picturehouse and Showcase cinemas joining the scheme’s redemption portfolio, and most recently partnering with the group’s Virgin Trains Ticketing app, allowing members to put their points towards the purchase of rail tickets across Great Britain.
