146-room Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad expands the Company’s upscale presence in Germany while adding a new franchise partner in the DACH region
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s largest hotel franchising companies, announces the opening of Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad. The hotel marks the arrival of the namesake Wyndham brand in Frankfurt, Germany, further strengthening the company’s presence in one of Europe’s largest travel markets.
The 4-star upscale hotel introduces 146 rooms to a city known for its striking skyline, unique blend of historic and contemporary architecture, and status as a global hub for business and commerce. The hotel will undergo renovation over the course of the next 18 months, further enhancing its offering for both corporate and leisure travellers. The property offers easy access to one of Europe’s most internationally connected destinations and signals the beginning of a new collaboration between Wyndham and operator Windmill Niederrad GmbH, reinforcing Wyndham’s continued growth and franchise expansion across the DACH region.
Frankfurt am Main is one of Germany’s most visited destinations, welcoming more than 15.5 million arrivals and generating 34.3 million overnight stays in 2025 alone. The city is a major international business hub, home to Messe Frankfurt, one of the world’s largest trade fair organisers, while also rewarding travellers with a skyline that has earned it the nickname ‘Mainhattan’, with panoramic views from the Main Tower, alongside its historic Old Town, museums and cultural attractions. Located in the Lyoner Quartier in Niederrad, south of the Main River, Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad is well positioned for both business and leisure travellers, with Deutsche Bank Park, the DFB Campus and the headquarters of the German Football Association nearby. Frankfurt Airport and the city centre are both readily accessible by public transport, with the hotel located approximately 8 km from each.
Wyndham Frankfurt Niederrad’s contemporary design is reflected throughout its six-storey structure, with 146 rooms spanning Queen and King configurations, including suites and an accessible room. A central atrium, featuring a distinctive suspended light installation, provides a striking focal point on arrival. Dining is centred around a restaurant serving local cuisine, complemented by a bar and outdoor terrace. Three meeting rooms, including a 159-square-metre event space, provide flexible facilities for business gatherings, while a dedicated fitness area supports guests during their stay.
Positioned in the upscale segment, the Wyndham brand combines contemporary guest rooms, distinctive dining and well-planned meeting spaces with a service culture designed to make guests feel at ease throughout their stay. Wyndham’s namesake, along with its connected brands—Wyndham, Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Garden—now span more than 60 hotels across 16 countries in Europe, with the Frankfurt opening further strengthening Wyndham’s presence on the continent.
