Whether it’s getting to a client meeting across town or to the hotel after landing in a new city, the need for ground transportation is a constant requirement when travelling for business. And, when we’re working, we want to be sure we can get from A to B as quickly and effortlessly as possible.
That’s why Uber for Business makes it easy for you to book rides and order meals – and keeps your focus on the purpose of your journey. Travellers can do this all over the world, in more than 70 countries.
Reliable
Our aim is to provide a service that removes the typical pain points that business travellers will be familiar with – like being worried that you need to get to back to back meetings with little time for things to go wrong, or having to apologise to prospective customers for a late arrival because your taxi is delayed.
Our Uber Reserve feature helps with this. It allows rides to be booked ahead of time so you don’t need to worry about requesting a car minutes before travelling. Uber Reserve also has extra driver wait time included, so you know the car will be waiting even if you’re held up.
Comfortable
Business travellers need to be punctual but feel relaxed when arriving for an important meeting. We offer a range of executive vehicles that help with this by providing extra comfort, space and leg room.
To ensure business travellers feel well looked after, riders can also choose from our Business Comfort, Business Exec, Exec XXL and Lux and be given access to enhanced support from experienced customer service agents who will provide added help should anything ever go awry.
Hassle free
To remove the hassle of managing expenses, we’ve made it possible for businesses to integrate with their expense provider. This allows Uber receipts to automatically attach to expense reports. The Global Business Travel Associations (GBTA) estimates expense claims take 20 minutes on average to complete – but, the automation of Uber Rides and Uber Eats receipt attachments, means there is one less administrative task to worry about.
For business travellers supported by an executive or personal assistant, it’s also possible to give third parties access to business profiles through our Delegate booking feature. Whoever you assign as a delegate for your account can manage all arrangements, expenses and after travel care on your behalf.
Adding value
We are constantly looking for ways to improve Uber for Business. For instance, business riders are now eligible for double British Airways Avios points for every £1 spent on an Uber trip. Avios points can be spent on everything from flights and hotels to leisure experiences.
But, it’s not just travellers that we help. Uber for Business also supports your travel and expense managers, by providing a free platform that helps them to look after employees. For example, if staff are travelling in far flung corners of the world, travel managers can integrate Uber for Business with information and tracking services such as ISOS TravelTracker – to help them meet their duty of care responsibilities.
Sustainability
We are also helping companies to meet their environmental responsibilities. Our platform provides a record of the carbon emissions from every single employee journey, contributing to more accurate environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting.
As sustainability matters to both employees and employers, Uber wants to lead the way in the adoption of electric vehicles – for example, almost 30% of Uber’s miles in London are fully electric.
We’ll keep listening to what really matters to business travellers and making improvements to provide an increasingly enhanced, seamless ground transportation service, which you can rely on in thousands of cities around the world.
