Aberdeen is well connected with an international airport and rail links. The airport is located six miles from the city centre. The railway is right in the heart of the city.   By road, Aberdeen is around 2.5 hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow.


Elphinstone Hall, University of Aberdeen

This baronial hall offers a flexible space suitable for a diverse range of large events, including dinner dances, business breakfasts, industry exhibitions, and presentations. Located at the heart of the campus, Elphinstone Hall boasts abundant natural light, which beautifully highlights its hammer-beam roof and oak-panelled walls. The hall also features some of the oldest oil canvas paintings in Scotland, creating a truly unique backdrop. During warmer months, delegates can mingle under the cloisters while enjoying views of King’s Chapel. The venue provides a variety of reception and breakout rooms adjacent to and near the hall itself.  Capacity ranges from 250 to 400 and the minimum number of guests is 80.



Gordon Highlanders Museum

The Gordon Highlanders Museum, steeped in history and adorned with regimental treasures, offers a truly distinctive and memorable setting for a variety of events. Whether you’re planning dinners, conferences, board meetings, or receptions, this unique venue promises an experience like no other. The museum auditorium can accommodate up to 80 delegates and the conservatory and tearoom can seat 50 people. Various catering arrangements are available.



The Aberdeen Altens Hotel

Located in the heart of Aberdeen’s Training District, stands out as a multi-award-winning venue. With 12 meeting rooms, this hotel offers a versatile space for one-one meetings or conferences accommodating up to 400 delegates and free parking for up to 300 cars and free Wi-Fi for all delegates. Tailor-made event packages are available.



Society of Advocates

The private members’ library is an excellent location for meetings and meals in the centre the city. The venue can accommodate a maximum of 50 delegates at a time.



Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre

The versatile Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is suitable for any number of events from meetings to large exhibitions. The venue has 20 meeting rooms that can be adapted for numerous purposes. Parking, WIFI and catering packages are available.



Meldrum House Country Hotel and Golf Course

Meldrum House is located 30 minutes’ drive from Aberdeen and offers three options for conference facilities. The Ballroom can hold up to 200 delegates theatre-style or 160 cabaret-style. The Boardroom is suitable for up to 10 delegates and The Stables operate as a purpose-designed conference centre suitable for 32 in boardroom layout or ten people theatre-style.
