Jumeirah Capri Palace announces the inaugural edition of its Contemporary Art Prize, launched in conjunction with the ninth edition of the Festival del Paesaggio Anacapri.
The festival will run from 7 September to 8 November 2025, with opening events scheduled for 5–6 September 2025.
Curated in collaboration with artistic directors Arianna Rosica and Gianluca Riccio, the Jumeirah Capri Palace Art Prize will be awarded to two artists participating in the main exhibition projects of the 2025 Festival del Paesaggio. The selected artists will have their works included in the hotels’ permanent collection and will receive residency at Jumeirah Capri Palace, along with a cash prize to support their artistic practice.
The festival exhibitions involved in the selection of the prize winners are:
- Travelogue, Landscapes with Ruins – A reflection on the contemporary landscape through the lens of ruins, featuring site-specific works and installations by Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan, Alessio de Girolamo, Katarina Löfström, Masbedo, Angelo Mosca, Luca Pancrazzi, and Sislej Xhafa.
- RUINA, Searching for an Identity in the Ancient and the Present – An exploration of ruin and memory through new languages of contemporary art, presenting works by five emerging Italian artists under the age of 35: Clarissa Baldassarri, Morena Cannizzaro, Maria Cavinato, Carmela De Falco, and Irene Macalli.
The two winners will be selected by a distinguished jury of influential figures from the international art and cultural scene:
- Cristiana Perrella (Chair) – Director of the MACRO Museum, Rome;
- Angela Tecce – President of the Donnaregina Foundation for Contemporary Arts / MADRE Museum, Donnaregina Museum of Contemporary Art, Naples;

- Aldo Cazzullo – Journalist and Deputy Editor of Corriere della Sera;
- Ermanno Zanini – Regional Vice President for Southern Europe and the United Kingdom at Jumeirah, and General Manager of Jumeirah Capri Palace.
With this inaugural edition, the Jumeirah Capri Palace Art Prize aspires to become an annual cultural event of note, promoting contemporary art in dialogue with the rich historical and cultural identity of the island of Capri, while affirming Jumeirah Capri Palace’s role as a patron of the arts in the region. This partnership reflects Jumeirah’s ongoing commitment to championing arts and culture as a Majlis of global culture, conversation, and connection.
Across its destinations, Jumeirah strives to serve as a cultural crossroads, contributing to the artistic fabric of the cities it touches. Earlier this year, Jumeirah launched its very first Jumeirah Art Journey across its Madinat Jumeirah properties in Dubai, and more recently partnered with Christie’s London for an exhibition dedicated to honouring the life and legacy of Syrian artist Marwan Kassab Bachi.
