Casa Cook has opened its first mountain retreat – and its debut property in Italy – with the launch of Casa Cook Madonna in the Dolomites. The adults-only boutique hotel welcomed its first guests this August, bringing the brand’s signature laid-back luxury to one of Italy’s most stylish mountain destinations.

Located in Madonna di Campiglio, around 150km from Verona Airport and 170km from Milan Bergamo Airport, the hotel is a collaboration between Casa Cook, TREASURESTS Hospitality and JP Hospitality Investors Club. The retreat is designed to offer a sanctuary for both winter and summer travellers, combining contemporary comfort with the charm of the Dolomites.

Casa Cook Madonna features just 50 design-led rooms, with interiors that draw heavily on the alpine setting. Natural stone, dark timber and earthy tones are balanced by softer textures such as linen and wool, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and connection with the outdoors. Sustainability has been built into the design, with thermal insulation, organic fabrics and locally sourced materials all playing a key role.

The creative direction comes from Casa Collective working with Remo Masala of Vision Alphabet, the original creator of the Casa Cook brand. The result is a property that fuses mountain character with the brand’s signature aesthetic, tailored to every season.

Guests can make use of a fully equipped gym, spa, sauna and innovative boot room, with yoga sessions and rejuvenating treatments designed to promote wellness and recovery after a day on the slopes or trails. The focus, say the developers, is on creating a space where visitors can disconnect, recharge and immerse themselves in the tranquillity of the Dolomites.

The culinary offering is led by renowned three Michelin-starred chef Jacob Jan Boerma, who has curated the hotel restaurant’s menu. Guests can also explore the wider region’s gastronomy, with a number of Michelin-starred restaurants located nearby, showcasing the traditional flavours and produce of the Dolomites.

Casa Cook Madonna is positioned as a true four-season destination. In winter, the hotel is just a three-minute walk from the ski lifts, giving guests access to world-class slopes and glacier trails. Snowshoe hikes and backcountry skiing are also available across pristine alpine landscapes.

During the spring and summer months, the mountains transform into a hub for outdoor pursuits, from hiking and mountain biking to rock climbing and tranquil lake excursions. Wine tastings, artisan boutiques and local cafes in town add to the cultural appeal, giving visitors a rich blend of adventure, gastronomy and relaxation.

Judith Owens, Chief Executive of Titanic Belfast, said: “Casa Cook Madonna captures the essence of what our brand represents: understated luxury, authentic connection to place, and a focus on wellbeing. The Dolomites are a natural setting for this evolution of our concept, and we are delighted to open our doors in Italy for the first time.”

With its small-scale intimacy, Michelin-star dining and access to both snowy slopes and summer trails, Casa Cook Madonna looks set to become a sought-after retreat for travellers seeking a blend of alpine adventure and contemporary luxury.
