Pierre & Vacances is expanding its mountain portfolio with four premium residences in Switzerland under the SWISSPEAK Resorts by Pierre & Vacances brand.
Located in Thyon, Zinal, Vercorin and Meiringen, the residences provide access to a range of Swiss ski destinations, from the extensive terrain of the 4 Vallées to traditional Valais villages and family-focused resorts.
For UK skiers, Switzerland offers many of the attributes that continue to drive demand for Alpine holidays: extensive ski areas, modern lift infrastructure and well-connected mountain destinations. Increasingly, Switzerland is also challenging perceptions around its expected premium value, with resorts such as Thyon providing access to the same ski area as Verbier while offering accommodation at a very different price point.
The new collection is led by Thyon and Zinal, two resorts that combine substantial ski domains with distinctive local character. Together they showcase an alternative side of Swiss skiing, away from the country’s best-known international names, while still delivering access to some of the Alps’ most rewarding terrain.
Thyon
Located at 2,000m, Thyon provides access to the 4 Vallées ski area, with 410km of pistes shared with Verbier. While the latter attracts much of the international attention, Thyon remains comparatively little known in the UK market. Comparable to the role Les Menuires plays within the Three Valleys, Thyon offers access to one of the Alps’ largest ski domains from a more relaxed and accessible base. For skiers interested primarily in terrain, it provides a compelling alternative gateway to the 4 Vallées. Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence Thyon comprises 78 apartments which can sleep between four and ten guests, a restaurant, wellness area and yoga studio. Families are well catered for with dedicated children’s facilities and a gaming room.
Zinal
Zinal combines a traditional Swiss mountain setting with access to the Zinal-Grimentz ski area, with a stunning setting in the Val d’Anniviers. The resort has long appealed to skiers beyond the major international destinations, offering substantial terrain within an authentic mountain community. The combination of a village atmosphere, modern lift infrastructure and varied skiing makes it one of the standout ski resorts in the region. Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence Zinal is situated approximately 300 metres from the gondola and provides access to around 210 kilometres of pistes to explore. With 93 apartments sleeping between two and eight guests, the residence also features sports equipment facilities alongside children’s activities, and games rooms to keep guests entertained.
Vercorin
For a smaller-scale Swiss ski experience, Vercorin is an ideal choice, located on a sunny plateau above the Rhône Valley. With direct ski-in, ski out access beside the Crêt du Midi lift, Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence Vercorin offers guests a fantastic base from which to explore the resort. Featuring 90 apartments accommodating between two and eighteen guests, the residence is well-equipped for a relaxing ski escape with a sauna, hammam, and leisure facilities as well as an onsite restaurant and fitness room.
Meiringen
Situated in the Bernese Oberland, Meiringen offers access to around 60km of pistes and serves as a gateway to one of Switzerland’s best-known mountain regions. Pierre & Vacances Premium Residence Meiringen offers 79 apartments sleeping between four and eight guests, with a relaxation area and games rooms, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes.
