A magical festive journey inspired by the Maldivian ocean and celestial skies will transform Ifuru Island Maldives this December as guests are invited to celebrate beyond the ordinary, with ‘Echoes of the Ocean and Stars’.
This immersive Christmas and New Year celebration is inspired by the beauty of the Maldivian ocean, the mystery of the night sky and the timeless wonder of the festive season. From 20th December 2026 until 9th January 2027, Ifuru will become a dreamlike world bringing together the serenity of the sea and the magic of the cosmos. The resort will create a festive journey through Christmas, New Year and Orthodox Christmas, brought to life through distinctive décor, entertainment, dining, activities and shared island experiences.
A World Between the Ocean and the Stars
‘Echoes of the Ocean and Stars’ draws from an otherworldly fantasy universe, blending a glowing underwater world with celestial elements to create an atmosphere that feels surreal, elegant and tropical. Bio-luminescent inspired colours and mystical reefs will meet stars, constellations, and moonlit touches. Deep ocean blues and midnight navy will be complemented by pearl white, silver, soft turquoise, pink, purple and subtle celestial cold. Coral, waves, shells and reef-inspired forms will merge with stars and festive details, giving Christmas traditions a distinctly Ifuru identity.

- 1st January: The first day of 2027 begins surrounded by ocean, sunshine and the sense of possibility that inspired the festive theme
- 1st-9th January: The celebrations continue into January, culminating around Orthodox Christmas and extending the festive spirit for longer
