American Airlines has introduced a refreshed selection of Main Cabin snacks and meals, expanding its onboard offering as part of its centennial‑year enhancements.
Customers travelling on select flights can now choose from a wider range of paid options, beginning with the new Inflight Bites box, priced at $10 or 1,000 AAdvantage miles.
The box is positioned as a celebratory treat and includes gochujang beef jerky, Wheat Thins, lemon rosemary green olives, a chocolate cherry granola bar, Oreo cookies, honey roasted cashews and a smoked Gouda cheese spread.
American has also added a regional touch through a partnership with NUTS ON CLARK, a long‑standing Chicago family business known for its fresh, locally sourced products. Travellers can now purchase the brand’s roasted salted mixed nuts for $11 or 1,100 miles, alongside BOOMCHICKAPOP Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn for $5 or 500 miles, giving passengers more variety in ready‑made snacks with a sense of place.
For those wanting something more substantial, the airline has updated its fruit and cheese tray, now available for $13 or 1,300 miles. The refreshed version features Tillamook Extra Sharp Cheddar, Tillamook Smoked Black Pepper Cheddar and blueberry artigiano cheese, paired with fresh fruit, dried apricots, dried black figs, walnuts, gourmet crackers, Bonne Maman honey and a Toblerone chocolate. It’s designed as a more balanced, satisfying option that pairs neatly with the airline’s onboard wine selection.
From 1 June, American will introduce an additional paid meal on select flights across the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico. The new turkey and Havarti sandwich is served on artisan avocado bread with baby spinach, sweet red pepper strips and a caramelised onion‑mustard spread. Priced at $14 or 1,400 miles, it comes with Community Honey BBQ chips and a sweet treat, offering a convenient lunch or dinner option for travellers seeking something more filling during their journey.
Payment has been made deliberately flexible, with tap‑to‑pay technology available onboard and the option to redeem AAdvantage miles for any food or beverage purchase. Members also benefit from free high‑speed Wi‑Fi sponsored by AT&T on more aircraft than any other airline, making it easier to stay connected while enjoying the updated menu
