Red Sea Global, the regenerative tourism developer behind Saudi Arabia’s north west coast projects, has started operations at AMAALA Yacht Club, which the company says establishes the Saudi Red Sea as a destination for luxury yachting, sailing and marine tourism. The opening was confirmed on 14 September 2026, with founding members and visiting yachts now able to moor inside AMAALA Marina Village.
The detail that matters to anyone planning client entertaining or an offsite around a boat is geography. The site sits roughly 2,000 nautical miles from Monaco. From October each year the Mediterranean fleet traditionally disperses to the Caribbean or the Indian Ocean, and AMAALA is closer to European waters than the Caribbean is, which shortens the repositioning voyage and widens the window in which a charter can realistically be organised from the UK.

Designed by HKS Architects, the building borrows from the sculpted rock formations along the coastline and from traditional Arabian forms, with cantilevered terraces over the water.
