Red Sea Global has opened Nammos Resort AMAALA, the first resort hotel anywhere in the world to carry the Nammos name, on the Triple Bay shoreline of its AMAALA development in Saudi Arabia. The opening marks the Greek lifestyle brand’s arrival in the Middle East and brings a sixth hotel to a destination the developer is positioning as one of the leading luxury wellness addresses on the Red Sea.
For UK business travellers the relevance is less about a beach club and more about what AMAALA is becoming. With direct European air links now serving the Red Sea coast, the destination is emerging as a credible option for company incentive trips, board away-days and high-value client hospitality that would once have defaulted to Dubai or the Mediterranean.
The resort has been designed by Foster + Partners and offers 110 keys alongside 20 private residences. It looks out over the Red Sea and Dumega Bay and draws on both the Cyclades and the heritage of the Saudi coastline.
What Nammos Resort AMAALA offers corporate groups
The centrepiece is the Nammos Beach Club, which sits on its own private island reached by a boardwalk or a private jetty. It is intended to recreate the atmosphere the brand is known for in Mykonos, with Mediterranean-inspired dining and sea views, an obvious venue for a closing dinner or a reward trip for top performers.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, said: “Nammos Resort AMAALA strengthens the diversity of experiences available across the destination bringing the unmistakable energy and spirit of Mykonos to the Saudi Red Sea coast. As AMAALA continues to expand with each new opening, the addition of Nammos reinforces our ambition to establish one of the world’s leading luxury lifestyle and wellness destinations.”
Wellness is a growing consideration for corporate travel buyers, and the property includes the first Nammos Spa, branded Boundless Wellbeing. Its programme mixes social and restorative elements, with late-night sound healing, soundscape beats, spa parties, radical manifestation sessions and advanced skin health treatments. That sits alongside the wider AMAALA offer of marine activities, sailing, wellness trails and equestrian experiences, and follows the opening of Six Senses AMAALA earlier in the destination’s roll-out.
Families are catered for through the Blu Kids Club, useful for executives who add leave to a business trip.
A new chapter for the Mykonos brand
Carolyn Turnbull, CEO of Nammos Hotels & Resorts, said: “Today is much more than the opening of a hotel. It is the beginning of an entirely new chapter for Nammos. We have taken everything people know and love about the brand – its sense of occasion, exceptional hospitality, unforgettable dining and distinctive energy – and reimagined it as a complete resort experience. There is nowhere else in the world where Nammos could have made this leap quite like AMAALA, and we are incredibly proud to welcome our very first guests.”
The 20 residences, sold as Nammos Residences AMAALA, overlook the marina and range from one to three-bedroom apartments plus a three-bedroom penthouse. They are managed by Nammos Hotels & Resorts and give owners access to the beach club, restaurants and resort services. Red Sea Global first announced the Nammos project as a benchmark for luxury in Triple Bay.
Getting there from the UK
AMAALA sits on Saudi Arabia’s north-west coast and is served by Red Sea International Airport, which has been building its route network with European carriers. Our earlier report on new direct flights to the Red Sea sets out the current options, and the Equinox Resort AMAALA opening shows how quickly the hotel inventory is growing.
Nammos is the sixth resort to open at AMAALA. Red Sea Global says three more will follow in the coming months, along with further branded residences, wellness facilities, marinas, retail and restaurants, building on the launch of AMAALA as a coastal lifestyle destination.
For UK travel managers, the practical takeaway is that AMAALA now has enough capacity and variety to host a serious corporate programme. Rates and group terms have not been published, so companies planning incentive travel for 2027 should approach the resort directly and allow time for Saudi visa formalities.
