Cyprus will gain a new adults-only hotel in April 2026 when Ayã Resort, a 48-suite property overlooking Ayia Thekla Beach in the south east of the island, welcomes its first guests. The resort is the debut property in the new All&More collection, and reservations are already open for stays from opening.
For UK business travellers, the announcement adds another option to one of the Mediterranean’s most accessible short-haul destinations. Cyprus is served by direct flights from airports across the UK, and the island’s long season and warm autumns have made it an increasingly popular pick for British visitors who want sunshine without a long-haul flight. An adults-only property within reach of Larnaca airport will appeal to anyone tacking a few days of rest onto a client visit or conference trip.
Suites, pools and poolside dining
The property comprises 48 suites, from overwater bungalows to garden suites with private plunge pools, and many offer direct access to the 3,000 square metre main pool at the centre of the resort. Dining comes from Mãnna Restaurant, which will focus on local flavours and seasonal produce, and a poolside Sushi Bar serving fresh dishes alongside signature cocktails.
Two Cypriot firms are behind the look of the place. MITA & Associates Architects designed the buildings and AT Design Studio handled the interiors, drawing on both Mykonian and Indonesian influences through natural tones, textured materials and clean lines. Tropical gardens, palm trees and macramé umbrellas frame the grounds.
The main pool, Ayã Pool, is intended as the social heart of the resort. A DJ line-up and a curated programme of poolside events will run through the 2026 season, moving from relaxed daytime sessions into sunset and evening entertainment.
Why it matters for bleisure and SME groups
The opening lands as demand for combined work and leisure trips keeps climbing. Research covered by this magazine found that 60 per cent of UK workers now extend business trips into holidays, and adults-only resorts sit squarely in that market, offering somewhere quiet to decompress after a working week.
There is a corporate angle beyond the sun loungers. Ayã will include a private event venue for up to 350 guests, pitched primarily at weddings and celebrations but of a scale that suits incentive trips, company milestones and larger off-site gatherings. A spa, gym and boutique round out the facilities. The resort joins a busy pipeline of luxury hotel openings set to reshape business travel in 2026, several of them in the Mediterranean.
Planning a trip
Ayia Thekla sits on the coast of south east Cyprus, close to Ayia Napa and within easy transfer distance of Larnaca airport, which handles the bulk of UK arrivals. As with any overseas trip, travellers should check the Foreign Office’s Cyprus travel advice before booking, particularly for entry requirements.
Reservations for stays from April 2026 are open now through the resort’s official website, aya-resort.com. With a single opening season announced so far, early bookers will have first pick of the overwater bungalows, likely to be the most sought-after rooms on the island next summer.
