Fusion Hotel Group signs new management deal for Fusion Resort Phu Quoc, a 209-key beachfront wellness resort set to open in 2027 on Bai Truong beach, Vietnam.

Fusion Hotel Group has confirmed its return to Phu Quoc with the signing of a long-term hotel management agreement for a new wellness-focused beachfront resort on the island’s Bai Truong beach.

The agreement, signed on 6 February with Tropical Corporation, will see the development of Fusion Resort Phu Quoc, a full-service property positioned within close proximity to Phu Quoc International Airport.

Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2027, the resort marks a significant addition to the island’s expanding luxury hospitality pipeline.

The new Fusion Resort will comprise 51 private villas and 158 guestrooms, alongside a broad suite of facilities including all-day dining, specialty restaurants and bars, meeting and event spaces, a children’s club, an infinity swimming pool and a dedicated beach club.

Central to the concept will be Fusion’s signature all-spa-inclusive wellness offering at Maia Spa, a hallmark of the brand, combined with its “breakfast anywhere, anytime” service and personalised guest experiences delivered by its in-house “Fusionistas”.

The resort’s location on Bai Truong, one of Phu Quoc’s most sought-after stretches of coastline, positions it as a prime beachfront retreat within easy access of air connectivity.

Fusion Resort Phu Quoc is being positioned not only as a leisure escape but also as a destination for international gatherings and wellness-oriented events.

With integrated meeting and event facilities alongside spa-led programming, the development aims to tap into growing demand for retreats, corporate off-sites and incentive travel that combine business with wellbeing.

At the signing ceremony, Tran Van Son, Chairman of Tropical Corporation, said both parties were aligned in their commitment to quality, sustainability and long-term value creation. He also highlighted the continued growth of the wellness resort segment in Phu Quoc, widely recognised as one of Southeast Asia’s leading resort destinations.

Phu Quoc has emerged in recent years as a flagship Vietnamese resort market, supported by expanding international air links and increasing demand from Asian and European travellers.

For Fusion Hotel Group, the project signals a strategic return to one of Vietnam’s most dynamic coastal destinations, reinforcing its focus on experiential, wellness-driven hospitality.

With opening targeted for late 2027, Fusion Resort Phu Quoc is set to strengthen the island’s credentials as both a luxury leisure hotspot and a compelling venue for wellness-led corporate travel.
