Moanalei Villas, a new boutique luxury retreat overlooking the lush landscapes of Upolu and the Pacific Ocean beyond, is now officially open, ushering in a new era of elevated, villa-style hospitality in Samoa.
Designed to offer an experience that is both deeply personal and distinctly Samoan, Moanalei Villas introduces a refined alternative to traditional resort stays. The first of its kind in Samoa. Each private villa has been thoughtfully crafted to blend contemporary design with natural surroundings, featuring expansive living spaces, private infinity pools, and seamless indoor-outdoor living, all set against sweeping ocean and mountain views.
The opening marks a significant milestone for the locally rooted development, brought to life with a clear vision; to create a world-class destination that celebrates the beauty, culture, and warmth of Samoa while delivering an uncompromising standard of luxury.
The occasion was marked with a traditional blessing ceremony and ribbon cutting, honouring the cultural significance of the land and formally welcoming guests into the Moanalei experience. Attended by community leaders, business partners, family members and close friends, the event reflected the project’s strong connection Samoa and her people.
At the heart of the property is its already-established dining offering TASI Restaurant, developed in collaboration with internationally acclaimed Samoan celebrity chef Monica Galetti and sommelier husband David Galetti. Since opening earlier this year, TASI has quickly become a destination in its own right, showcasing modern Pacific cuisine with a focus on local ingredients, refined technique, and warm, intuitive service.
