Raffles Hotels & Resorts is set to bring its legendary elegance to the French Alps with the debut of Raffles Courchevel 1850, opening for the 2028 winter season.

The new property marks the brand’s first alpine resort and its second address in France, introducing a refined, intimate retreat in one of the world’s most prestigious mountain destinations.

Set within the exclusive Jardin Alpin enclave, Raffles Courchevel will offer a rare blend of slopeside serenity and high-altitude glamour. Courchevel 1850 has long been synonymous with Michelin starred dining, luxury maisons, and discreet sophistication all framed by the vast expanse of Les Trois Vallées, the world’s largest interconnected ski area.

Designed by JMV with interiors by Humbert & Poyet, the resort will feature 50 spacious guestrooms and suites, many with private balconies overlooking the Tarentaise Valley. Each space will reflect Raffles’ signature approach to understated luxury, personalised service, and timeless design.

At the heart of the resort, guests will discover a collection of distinctive dining experiences, including a signature bar, an elegant tea lounge, and two destination restaurants with winter gardens and expansive terraces. The culinary offering will be shaped around the drama of the alpine landscape, creating settings that transition effortlessly from sunlit lunches to atmospheric evenings.

After a day on the slopes, the resort’s spa and recovery zones will offer a sanctuary of restoration. Combining traditional alpine wellness with modern longevity‑focused therapies, the facilities will include treatment rooms, thermal experiences, a dedicated fitness centre, and a panoramic swimming pool. A thoughtfully curated programme for younger guests will celebrate nature, sport, and wellbeing, ensuring families feel as considered as couples and seasoned alpine travellers.

For Raffles, the opening represents a significant milestone, a move into the world of high-altitude luxury that aligns with the brand’s heritage of elegance, cultural depth, and impeccable service. For Courchevel, it signals the arrival of a new icon designed to honour the destination’s legacy while shaping its next chapter.

When it opens in 2028, Raffles Courchevel will join the brand’s growing European portfolio including London, Paris, Warsaw, Istanbul and the upcoming Raffles Lake Como further cementing Raffles’ position among the world’s most distinguished luxury hotel brands.
