Six Senses London opens bookings for its new luxury hotel in Bayswater, blending heritage architecture, wellness innovation and sustainable design — ideal for business travellers seeking immersive stays in the capital.

Six Senses London has officially opened bookings for its long-anticipated hotel at the historic Whiteleys site in Bayswater, marking a new chapter in the capital’s luxury hospitality landscape. The 109-room property, set within the reimagined shell of the original Whiteleys emporium, offers a distinctive blend of heritage, wellness and contemporary design — positioning itself as a compelling choice for business travellers and leisure guests alike.

Originally founded in 1863 by retail pioneer William Whiteley, the Whiteleys department store became a symbol of Victorian ambition, famously claiming to sell everything “from a pin to an elephant.” Today, Six Senses London channels that spirit of reinvention with a hospitality-first approach that prioritises quality, community and sensory wellbeing.

General Manager Nick Yarnell describes the hotel’s philosophy as “less-is-more,” with a focus on effortless luxury and local connection. Guests arrive through an Art Deco lobby framed by greenery and soaring ceilings, while the original grand staircase — modelled on Milan’s La Scala — has been restored as a theatrical centrepiece.

Culinary and wellness highlights

Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar and Café, led by Executive Chef Eliano Crespi, offers seasonal, borderless cuisine served in a Victorian manor-style open kitchen. The dining experience is designed to be generous and expressive, with a relaxed atmosphere enhanced by 28 hand-blown chandeliers and natural light from the courtyard.

Below ground, the Six Senses Spa introduces a tranquil retreat anchored by a reflecting pool and vaulted architecture inspired by the River Westbourne, which flows silently beneath the site. The spa is complemented by an Earth Lab focused on sustainability, with initiatives ranging from pollinator-friendly landscaping to support for the wider Bayswater revival.

Suites and business appeal

Upstairs, rooms and suites draw from Art Deco heritage and shift with the light and mood throughout the day. The crown jewel, the Whiteley Suite, features two bedrooms, a statement kitchen, spa-style bathrooms and a private terrace — ideal for extended business stays or executive retreats.

With its central location, wellness credentials and immersive design, Six Senses London offers a fresh alternative for business travellers seeking more than just a place to stay. The hotel is now accepting bookings, with savings available through its Prepay and Save offer.
