The leaders of the Atlanta World Cup Host Committee, in partnership with FIFA, released the Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Atlanta Host City Poster. Designed by Atlanta artist, Jose Hadathy, the poster is one of 16 to be unveiled over the next month.
The Atlanta Host City Poster is a vibrant and imaginative illustration depicting the city in a surrealist style that captures Atlanta’s energy and excitement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 26™. The focal point of the poster is a peach, representing Georgia’s southern hospitality welcoming the world to the epicentre of football in the U.S. The poster features Atlanta’s iconic skyline layered on bright blues and greens, highlighting the blue skies over the “city in a forest.” The design depicts several landmarks, such as the Georgia State Capitol, Atlanta Stadium, Krog Street Tunnel, Martin Luther King Jr. Birth Home and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as well as key community elements such as station football – an initiative to make football accessible to everyone.
The poster also nods to the deep commitment by the State of Georgia, the city of Atlanta, and Atlanta Stadium to setting new standards for environmental stewardship in sports and entertainment. Georgia continues to lead in clean energy investments and green business initiatives, while Atlanta has prioritized sustainable urban development and infrastructure. At the heart of this commitment is Atlanta Stadium, the only stadium in the world to achieve LEED Zero certification. From solar energy and water conservation systems to zero-waste initiatives, this commitment exemplifies the region’s leadership in building a more sustainable future.
Hadathy, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Atlanta, was born in Quito, Ecuador and moved to the area at the age of nine. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and currently serves as Creative Design Manager at Atlanta United.
The Atlanta poster is part of a set of Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Host City Posters, representing the unique cultural and artistic spirit of the 16 Host Cities. A diverse group of talented artists, each with their own style, created designs that reflect the distinctive identity and heritage of their respective Host Cities.
Atlanta is honoured to be among the host cities for FIFA World Cup 2026™. World-class Mercedes-Benz Stadium is ready to welcome players and fans from all over the world, and the city in the forest is ready to show the globe how we do things on a different level.
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be the largest edition of the world’s most popular sporting event yet, with 48 teams vying for football’s biggest prize in 104 matches hosted across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
