Chia Laguna, one of Southern Sardinia’s most recognisable coastal destinations, is entering a new era.

Reopening on 23 April 2026, the resort relaunches as Chia Laguna Nature Resort, unveiling a refreshed identity that places nature, local culture and restorative travel at the heart of the experience.

The evolution follows a major repositioning project developed with JHAGGER&CO, designed to unify the resort’s three hotels, Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia, Baia di Chia Resort Sardinia Curio Collection by Hilton, and The Village under a single, nature‑driven vision. The result is a more cohesive destination that celebrates the dunes, lagoons and coastline that earned Chia the title of Italy’s Most Beautiful Sea in 2025.

A New Chapter Led by International Expertise

The relaunch is being guided by newly appointed General Manager Giuseppe Fornillo, whose 30‑year career across Italy and Asia brings deep expertise in luxury operations, guest experience and sustainability. His leadership marks a renewed commitment to authenticity, wellbeing and local connection across the resort’s offering.

Experiences Rooted in Southern Sardinia

The 2026 season introduces a curated collection of experiences designed to immerse guests in the rhythms of the region. These include:

  • Nonna’s Table cooking sessions and shepherd‑led cheese demonstrations
  • Golden‑hour Nuraghe hikes and guided sunrise walks
  • Yoga in the Wild, held in rotating natural settings
  • Wildlife photography walks with the resort’s resident photographer
  • Sip & Sail Sardinia, a golden‑hour coastal cruise with local wines and aperitivo
  • Blue Zone Cucina, celebrating Sardinia’s longevity traditions
  • Clay & Canvas creative workshops with local artists

Each experience is designed to deepen guests’ connection to the land, its stories and its people, reinforcing the resort’s nature‑first philosophy.

A Resort Designed for Every Kind of Traveller

Chia Laguna Nature Resort continues to offer three distinct hotel experiences — from the five‑star elegance of Conrad to the nature‑immersed Baia di Chia and the family‑friendly Village. Together, they create a destination that works for couples, families, adventure‑seekers and guests looking for quiet, restorative escapes.

The resort’s facilities remain a major draw: a 1,000 sqm spa, nine restaurants, eight bars, five pools, tennis and padel courts, a football pitch, Kids Club, two beach clubs and a piazza for events and shopping. Its conference centre, accommodating up to 700 guests, also positions the resort as a strong contender for MICE travel, corporate retreats and incentive groups seeking meaningful, nature‑led settings.

A Commitment to Sustainability and Community

The resort’s transformation is closely tied to environmental stewardship. The Village holds Biosphere Sustainable Certification, while the Hilton‑branded properties follow the group’s Travel with Purpose ESG strategy. Partnerships with local conservation groups and producers further embed the resort within the Chia community and its protected landscapes.
