Etihad Airways has teased a new set of Economy Class tote bags inspired by the architecture, colours and skyline of Abu Dhabi.
The airline shared the first look on LinkedIn, highlighting a design approach that blends sustainability with a sense of place. Each tote is crafted from recycled PET plastic bottles — with every bag representing a rescued 500ml bottle diverted from oceans and landfills .
The bags feature artwork celebrating Etihad’s home city and fold neatly into a compact pouch for reuse beyond the flight. Inside, travellers will find inflight essentials such as Beekman 1802 hand cream, an eyeshade, earplugs and a toothbrush, with some versions also including a sustainable fleece blanket .
Etihad says the new totes will be available on select long‑haul and ultra‑long‑haul flights, forming part of a wider refresh of its onboard experience. The airline has previously noted that consolidating amenities into reusable totes helps eliminate millions of single‑use plastic bags each year, reinforcing its sustainability goals .
