Norse Atlantic has confirmed plans to launch a new route connecting Gatwick Airport in London to Las Vegas, commencing operations later this year.

The airline has revealed that the service will operate three times a week starting from September 12th.

Flights will depart Gatwick at 12:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, arriving at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas at 14:40 local time. The return leg will leave Las Vegas at 16:45 and arrive back in London at 10:35 the following day.

Ticket prices for the economy class will start from £399 return, while Premium class fares will begin at £1,029.

Norse Atlantic will face competition from British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, both of which offer year-round flights from Heathrow to Las Vegas. British Airways also resumed its seasonal Gatwick-Las Vegas service last year.

The announcement of the new route follows Norse Atlantic’s decision in January not to resume flights from Gatwick to Washington DC and Boston this summer. However, the airline will increase its Gatwick-New York JFK service to up to two flights per day during the peak summer season.

Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, expressed excitement about introducing the new route, highlighting Las Vegas as a city offering diverse entertainment, dining, and recreational options for travelers. Larsen also emphasized the city’s proximity to natural attractions such as the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, and Valley of Fire State Park.

Norse Atlantic reported positive February passenger figures, with 50,694 customers flown during the month and an average load factor of 72%, marking a significant increase compared to the previous year. Larsen attributed the success to the airline’s agility in responding to market demand, noting that February represented a record month in terms of average daily bookings.
