Ryanair is strengthening its UK footprint with new winter 2025 services to Poland and Austria, alongside a major investment in its summer 2026 schedule.
New Winter 2025 Routes
- London Luton – Wrocław: The first flight launched on 5 December 2025, with four weekly services connecting the UK capital region to one of Poland’s fastest-growing cities.
- Newcastle – Wrocław: Beginning the same weekend, Ryanair will operate two weekly flights, giving North East travellers direct access to Lower Silesia.
- Birmingham – Salzburg: Also starting in December, this new route offers one weekly service to Austria’s cultural capital, ideal for both winter tourism and business links.
Summer 2026 Growth Plans
Looking ahead, Ryanair has announced a US$600 million investment at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, adding a sixth based aircraft for summer 2026. This expansion will deliver:
- +250,000 additional seats (+15% growth)
- Three new routes from Liverpool
- Enhanced connectivity across Europe
Further growth is planned in Poland, with a sixth aircraft to be based in Gdańsk for summer 2026. This represents another US$600 million investment, adding:
- +300,000 seats (+16% growth)
- Five new routes to Rome, Dubrovnik, Tirana, Palermo and Bucharest
Why It Matters
For UK business and leisure travellers, the new winter services provide direct access to key Central European destinations, reducing reliance on connecting flights. The summer 2026 investments underline Ryanair’s confidence in demand growth, with expanded fleets and fresh routes set to boost regional economies and connectivity.
Ryanair’s latest expansion combines immediate winter route launches with long-term investment in aircraft and infrastructure, reinforcing its position as the UK’s leading low-fares airline while opening new corridors for business and tourism across Europe.
