Two of Dubrovnik’s most recognisable coastal hotels — Villa Argentina and Villa Orsula — will reopen in August 2026 following a major transformation by Adriatic Luxury Hotels.

The neighbouring properties, set beside the city’s historic walls and overlooking Lokrum Island, return with restored heritage villas, contemporary Mediterranean interiors and expanded outdoor and wellness spaces.

The redevelopment, led by Croatian studio 3LHD under architect Marko Dabrović, preserves the original villas while introducing new structures that open the buildings more directly to the sea, gardens and surrounding landscape. Terraced pathways now link the two estates, allowing guests to move between restaurants, pools, spa areas and the shoreline.

Villa Argentina will reopen with 96 rooms and suites, reduced from 131 to create larger layouts, expanded balconies and greater privacy. Guests will have access to landscaped gardens, multiple dining venues, the Anima Wellbeing & Spa, indoor and outdoor pools and a 60‑metre terraced shoreline beach.

Villa Orsula offers a more intimate stay with 13 individually designed rooms and suites, many with framed sea or garden views. The property also introduces Marea, a new signature restaurant and lounge bar overlooking the Adriatic.

Both hotels feature interiors defined by natural materials, soft tones and strong visual connections to the coastline, with many rooms opening onto private balconies overlooking the Adriatic and Dubrovnik’s Old Town.

Wellness has been significantly expanded, including a 566‑square‑metre spa with sauna, steam bath, salt room, indoor and outdoor pools and a programme of holistic treatments and fitness activities.

Dining spans Mediterranean‑led restaurants, a shoreline beach club and garden‑set bars, with menus showcasing Adriatic seafood, local produce and Croatian wines such as Pošip, Grk and Dingač.
