This autumn sees the launch of the Historic Mine Route, a new 7.8‑mile hiking and biking trail opening on Miners Day. The loop connects landmark sites from Park City’s silver‑mining past — including Treasure Hill, the Silver King Coalition Mine Complex and Empire Canyon — with interpretive signs and a GPS‑enabled audio guide bringing the history to life. The full route takes around 3.5 hours, though visitors can shorten the climb by taking the Town Lift.
In Kimball Junction, Junction Commons is launching a new winter farmers market for the 2026 ski season. Running through the colder months, it will showcase local produce, artisan foods and handcrafted goods, adding a year‑round community hub and an alternative après‑ski stop at the gateway to Park City.
Park City has also been awarded Accessibility Verified status by Wheel the World, with 30 local businesses recognised for meeting verified accessibility standards across accommodation, dining, attractions and transport. The programme aims to expand to 60 businesses by 2027, reinforcing Park City’s commitment to inclusive travel and building on its long‑standing adaptive recreation offering through the National Ability Centre.
Getting around is now easier thanks to an upgraded fleet from Summit Bike Share, the country’s first all‑electric bike‑share system. The new pedal‑assist e‑bikes are lighter and more efficient, available across 26 stations in Park City, Snyderville Basin and Coalville. Visitors can enjoy 30 minutes of free riding from the Visitor Information Centre station, with passes starting at $12 for two hours .
Hotel developments continue to reshape the town’s offering. Main & Sky is undergoing a full refresh ahead of its relaunch in autumn 2026, bringing new interiors to its studio, one‑, two‑ and three‑bedroom suites — all with gourmet kitchens, fireplaces and mountain or downtown views. Rates start from $315 per night with a two‑night minimum.
Looking ahead, The Ascent Park City, part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, will open in October 2027 with 120 residences near Canyons Village, offering yoga facilities, indoor‑outdoor living spaces and access to the Waldorf Astoria. Meanwhile, Outbound Park City will reopen in winter 2027, transforming the former DoubleTree Yarrow into a hygge‑inspired, adventure‑focused retreat with redesigned rooms, upgraded pools and fire‑lit outdoor courtyards.
