Saudi Arabia has unveiled ADRENA, the Red Sea destination’s first dedicated adventure and entertainment district, now open to the public.
Designed as a major new draw for travellers seeking high‑energy, family‑friendly experiences. The launch marks a significant expansion of the Red Sea’s offering, positioning the region as a year‑round destination for both leisure and active travel.
Inspired by the words adrenaline, arena and dream, ADRENA is built as an immersive “experience playground,” powered by a sustainable closed‑loop seawater system. The district features a 215‑metre saltwater surf pool, the largest in Saudi Arabia capable of generating customisable waves up to 2.1 metres. It also includes a wakeboarding lake, snorkelling trails and a six‑metre‑deep diving pool, alongside an overwater zip line and a 10‑metre “slip ’n’ fly” slide for thrill‑seekers.
Families are catered for with a children’s waterplay zone and a floating inflatable obstacle course, while land‑based activities include a skatepark, BMX pump track and beach sports courts.
After dark, ADRENA transitions into a beach‑club setting with live house music, South American cuisine, a curated mocktail menu and an infinity pool overlooking Red Sea sunsets — broadening its appeal to evening visitors and overnight guests.
The opening comes as UK connectivity to Saudi Arabia improves, with new direct flights from London to Riyadh now operating and a Manchester route launching in July. From Riyadh, travellers can connect directly to Red Sea International Airport, the gateway to the destination.
With streamlined access and a new flagship attraction, ADRENA strengthens the Red Sea’s position as one of the Middle East’s most ambitious emerging destinations — offering travellers a fresh reason to explore Saudi Arabia’s regenerative tourism hub.
