Plans to transform the former Belgravia Police Station into a luxury hotel have been expanded, with the building’s new owners set to increase the number of guestrooms while keeping the historic structure unchanged.
The site, which closed as a police station in 2022, was originally approved for redevelopment into a 206‑room hotel featuring a restaurant, bar and wellness facilities .
The project has since been taken over by Aendre, a European hospitality operator founded by Eric Jafari and Chris Strong, following its acquisition of The Other House portfolio earlier this month . Aendre now plans to add 49 additional bedrooms to the scheme, bringing the total to 255 rooms. Despite the increase, the company confirmed that the building’s external dimensions will remain unchanged, with internal reconfiguration allowing for more guestrooms and an expanded wellness offering. Food and beverage spaces will be slightly reduced to accommodate the new layout .
The Belgravia Police Station was sold for £75 million in 2022 as part of a wider Metropolitan Police reorganisation initiated by the Mayor of London . Aendre acquired the site – along with two other properties – through funding from JuneX Capital Partners and co‑investor New End, following the brand’s launch in 2024 .
As part of its development commitments, Aendre will establish a community liaison group to maintain communication with local residents throughout the project’s progression .
The expanded hotel plan positions the Belgravia site as a significant new addition to London’s luxury hospitality landscape, bringing fresh investment and a larger accommodation offering to one of the capital’s most sought‑after neighbourhoods.
