With more than 150,000 passengers expected over the Easter weekend, Bristol Airport is reminding travellers to take extra care when packing seasonal chocolate treats.
Passengers carrying Easter eggs are advised to keep them in cabin baggage and ensure they are easily accessible, as security teams may need to open and inspect them as part of routine screening. The guidance comes as the Airport prepares for one of its busiest periods of the year, with popular routes including Spain, Italy, Portugal and domestic destinations such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast.
The Airport has also reiterated its updated security rules, including the ability to carry liquids up to 2 litres and keeping electronics inside bags during screening, helping to streamline the journey for families travelling over the holiday period.
A spokesperson for Bristol Airport said: “We want everyone to enjoy a smooth start to their Easter break. Keeping chocolate eggs in hand luggage and ready for inspection helps our security teams keep queues moving and ensures passengers get on their way quickly.”
