FLOHOM, the experiential hospitality brand behind a fast-growing fleet of luxury houseboats, has dropped anchor on South Carolina’s Grand Strand with the launch of FLOHOM 15 Palmera at Barefoot Landing Marina in North Myrtle Beach.
The opening marks the operator’s debut on the Grand Strand and pushes its portfolio further south than ever before. Billed as the first luxury houseboat suite of its kind in the region, Palmera is moored on the Intracoastal Waterway and is being pitched as a deliberate alternative to the area’s mainstream hotels and short-stay rentals.
Designed to sleep up to four guests, the floating suite features a warm coastal-modern interior, a full rooftop deck with a fire pit and 360-degree views over the Intracoastal, and complimentary access to the Barefoot Resort pool. The houseboat sits directly across the water from Barefoot Landing Resort, the House of Blues and the Alabama Theatre, with the Atlantic roughly a mile to the east.
For corporate guests in town for conferences, client entertaining or longer assignments along the Carolina coast, FLOHOM is positioning Palmera as a distinctive base for travellers who would rather book a private floating suite than a conventional hotel room.
The launch underlines the brand’s continued push beyond its Mid-Atlantic heartland, where it already operates properties in Baltimore, National Harbor, the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia Beach. North Myrtle Beach is the first of two FLOHOM houseboats earmarked for Barefoot Landing Marina, with FLOHOM 17 due to follow shortly under the same ownership partnership.
Barefoot Landing Marina, one of North Myrtle Beach’s premier waterfront moorings, will serve as Palmera’s home berth. Its walkable proximity to shops, restaurants and live entertainment, combined with its position on the Intracoastal, was cited by FLOHOM as the natural fit for the brand’s Grand Strand entry.
FLOHOM 15 Palmera is open for reservations now at flohom.com, with curated amenities aimed at couples, small groups and travellers booking anniversaries, celebrations and extended stays in the area.
