Hilton London Bankside has completed the final phase of its 76-room expansion, unveiling a new ninth floor of signature suites alongside wellness-focused rooms and family-friendly options, all now available to book from £152 per night.

For business travellers who base themselves south of the river, the extension adds meaningful capacity in one of central London’s busiest corporate and cultural districts. The hotel sits within walking distance of Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe, and the additional inventory should ease pressure on availability in an area where demand from both corporate and leisure guests runs high.

Twelve new room categories

The expansion introduces 12 new room categories in total, giving companies booking staff travel a wider spread of price points and configurations under one roof. Interiors take their cue from the creative character of the Bankside neighbourhood, with bold patterns, strong colour and curated artwork lit to give rooms the feel of a contemporary gallery. Sculptural headboards, angular mirrors and bespoke finishes feature throughout.

The new ninth floor is the headline addition. It brings the hotel’s suite count to 23 and houses two spacious one-bedroom signature suites with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the London skyline. The King City View Suite measures 83.9m² (902.6ft²), while the King Landmark View Suite spans 74.4m² (800.9ft²). Both come with double vanity sinks, a stocked minibar, a Smeg kettle and enhanced tea and coffee facilities. Depending on the suite, guests get either a walk-in wardrobe or a private wellness space with adjustable lighting, sound and scent settings, and additional fitness equipment can be requested for in-room workouts.

Wellness and longer-stay appeal

Travellers who want to keep training routines intact on the road are catered for directly. The new Premium Peloton Room, from £369 per night, includes a dedicated fitness alcove with natural light and a personal Peloton Bike. It reflects a wider industry move towards in-room wellness, a theme also visible in the luxury hotel openings set to reshape business travel in 2026.

The King Premier One Bedroom Suite, from £535 per night, offers a lounge and dining area suited to families of four or executives hosting informal meetings, while the King Junior Landmark View Suite, from £499 per night, frames views of The Shard through high-ceilinged, floor-to-ceiling glazing. All suites include dining areas and coffee machines, selected suites add spa-style walk-in showers with jets, and every suite stay comes with access to the executive lounge, a useful perk for anyone working between appointments.

Options for families and small groups

The hotel has kept its family positioning firmly in view, which matters for the growing number of travellers extending work trips into weekends. Interconnecting rooms and flexible layouts remain, and the new Two Queen Superior Room, from £330 per night, gives families or colleagues travelling together a roomier shared option. Select rooms include convertible chaise sofas for groups of three. Younger guests get a sweet stand and cartoons in the lobby, plus the hotel’s Fox Cub Trail activity. The investment mirrors upgrades elsewhere in the neighbourhood, including the art-led meetings and events refresh at the nearby Bankside Hotel, and adds to a competitive set that already includes the Westin London City across the river.

Stays in the new rooms at Hilton London Bankside are bookable now from £152, with full details of the expansion available from owner Splendid Hospitality Group.
