West London luxury chauffeur operator Premium Transfers has opened a second base at Kiln House on Elstree High Street, giving the company a licensed foothold in Hertfordshire for the first time.
The office, operating under a Hertsmere Council Operator Licence, extends the firm’s fixed-price airport transfer and corporate hire services to Borehamwood, Elstree, Radlett, Potters Bar, Barnet and the surrounding M1/M25 corridor, an area that has seen considerable growth in both population and corporate travel demand over the past decade.
Borehamwood’s population rose by nearly 14 per cent between 2011 and 2021, while Elstree Studios’ expansion as one of the UK’s busiest film and television production centres has created a steady requirement for discreet, reliable VIP ground transport that conventional private hire has struggled to meet.
Founder and managing director Tina Gupta said the Elstree location mirrors the geographic logic of the company’s original West London operation. “We have operated out of West London for several years, running airport transfers on the A4/M4 corridor to Heathrow. The Elstree office gives us the same geographic advantage on the M1 side. We can reach Luton Airport in under 25 minutes and cover the Borehamwood studio corridor without the delays a central London dispatch would face.”
The dual-base model allows Premium Transfers to serve both of the capital’s principal airport corridors: Heathrow via the A4/M4 from its W6 headquarters, and Luton and Stansted directly from Elstree.
Clients booking through the Hertfordshire office have access to the company’s full fleet, which includes Mercedes E-Class, S-Class S580, V-Class Jet Class, Range Rover Autobiography, G-Wagon, Maybach AMG GLS, Sprinter and Vito vehicles. All fares are fixed at the point of booking regardless of traffic conditions, and drivers meet arriving passengers in the terminal with a name board, tracking inbound flights in real time at no additional charge for delays.
Beyond airport work, the Elstree base covers corporate hire and hourly bookings across the Hertsmere borough, with corporate accounts offering monthly invoicing, vehicle pre-selection and a dedicated operations contact. Event transfers, including premieres, studio screenings and private functions, are also available.
Gupta was keen to stress the new office is not a token presence. “Corporate travel managers and production coordinators in Hertfordshire have been booking us from London for some time. Putting a licensed base in the borough means we can offer the same on-time guarantee we provide at Heathrow. The Elstree location is not a satellite office. It is a fully operational second base.”
