Riyadh Air has confirmed that its full commercial service between Riyadh (RUH) and London Heathrow (LHR) will officially begin on 1 July 2026.

Marking a major milestone for Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier as it prepares to introduce its next‑generation Boeing 787‑9 Dreamliners on the route. Public ticket sales are now open across the airline’s website, app and preferred travel partners.

The launch represents the airline’s transition from its pre‑operational “Pathway to Perfect” programme — during which daily London flights were operated using its technical spare aircraft, Jamila, since October 2025 – to a full premium service offering across all cabins. Jamila flights will continue to operate until 30 June before the Dreamliners take over exclusively from 1 July.

A New Dreamliner Experience

From July, passengers will experience Riyadh Air’s new four‑class Boeing 787‑9 Dreamliners, featuring Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. The aircraft introduces Bluetooth audio connectivity at every seat, fully flat beds in both business cabins, and upgraded seating across Premium Economy and Economy with enhanced storage, charging and ergonomic design.

The airline will also debut one of the world’s most advanced inflight entertainment systems, offering more than 500 films, 600 TV series and 1,000 audio options through Panasonic Avionics’ Astrova platform, complete with cinema‑quality visuals and wireless listening.

Signature Saudi Hospitality Onboard

Riyadh Air’s service proposition includes Kayanee wellness‑focused amenities, Disney kits for younger travellers, elevated dining and bespoke bedding across all cabins. Business Elite and Business guests will receive exclusive Kayanee loungewear, while Premium Economy guests will enjoy a tailored top for added comfort.

Strengthening a Key Global Corridor

The Riyadh–London route is central to the airline’s international strategy, connecting two G20 capitals and supporting both business and leisure travel. The service enhances economic ties between Saudi Arabia and the UK while positioning Riyadh as a major global hub with onward connections to destinations including Jeddah, Cairo and Dubai, with more to be announced soon.

Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, described the launch as “a truly exciting milestone” that showcases the airline’s premium experience and commitment to delivering a world‑class journey blending comfort, technology and Saudi hospitality.
