Dun Aluinn, the acclaimed Highland retreat overlooking Aberfeldy and the Tay Valley, will open this April as a fully staffed luxury hotel, marking a major evolution for the nine‑bedroom property.

Previously available only for exclusive‑use stays, the estate will now welcome individual room bookings for the first time, responding to rising demand for intimate, design‑led escapes with the service standards of a high‑end hotel.

The shift allows independent travellers to experience the property’s signature “private house” atmosphere while enjoying a full hospitality team, daily housekeeping, evening turndown and beautifully prepared breakfasts. A dedicated Guest Experience Manager will curate personalised itineraries, from outdoor adventures to cultural experiences across Highland Perthshire, ensuring each stay feels tailored and seamless.

Inside, the hotel blends warmth and grandeur, with generous shared spaces designed for connection and comfort. Guests can relax in two elegant lounges with open fires, unwind in the private cinema room, or gather on the terrace beside the fire pit, wrapped in Highland throws. Dining areas accommodate up to 20 guests, while a thoughtfully designed play den caters to younger travellers.

With its elevated service, curated experiences and refined interiors, Dun Aluinn’s April opening introduces a new chapter for Highland hospitality — one that combines the intimacy of a country home with the polish of a boutique luxury hotel.
