Dunalastair Hotel Suites is due to reopen its doors in March 2026, following its recent acquisition by Loch Rannoch Estate Limited, owners and operators of neighbouring Loch Rannoch Hotel, Spa & Estate.
Reopening as part of The Rannoch Collection, the five star Dunalastair Hotel Suites enters a new chapter after a thoughtful refresh that reimagines the property with contemporary flair and whimsical nods to its sporting Highland heritage. Located in the historic village square of Kinloch Rannoch, the 32-suite hotel will introduce a new Bar & Lounge, The Tipsy Stag, and The MacNab Restaurant, focussing on game and Scottish produce, alongside al fresco dining and a refined cigar lounge in the Courtyard, enhancing the guest experience while respecting the building’s Victorian sporting-lodge roots.
Guests staying at Dunalastair Hotel Suites will enjoy access to the spa and fitness facilities at sister property Loch Rannoch Hotel, Estate & Spa (optional resort fee applies). Loch Rannoch is also set to unveil an extension to its indoor pool and spa with the outdoor Woodland Spa this season, in addition to enhanced family offerings including a new soft-play area.
Commenting on the reopening, Nick Pattie, Loch Rannoch Estate’s director, said:“Dunalastair Hotel Suites has long been an important part of Kinloch Rannoch, and our focus has been on restoring its character while positioning it confidently within the wider estate. This reopening reflects our commitment to thoughtful investment that strengthens the destination for both guests and the local community, supporting a high-quality, year-round tourism offering.”
The reopening comes as Kinloch Rannoch undergoes a period of regeneration, with long-term investment revitalising the village as a first-class year-round tourism destination delivering lasting social and economic benefits.
