Virgin Atlantic has unveiled the first stage of a redesign of its Heathrow Clubhouse, introducing new zones and upgraded amenities aimed at travellers who want a more flexible, modern pre‑flight experience.
The Gallery has been reworked with a cleaner look, adding extra seating, built‑in charging and discreet storage. New artwork from UK creators gives the space a stronger sense of place, including pieces crafted from the airline’s own archive materials.
The Cinema has been reshaped into a more private viewing area, with individual screens, Bluetooth headphones and personal charging.
The Royal Box, an invitation‑only room designed as a bold, theatrical hideaway for VIPs. With deep red interiors, runway views and a central table offering rotating treats, it’s the most exclusive space the airline has added in years.
For those who need to work, 2 glass‑fronted pods, The Townhouse and The Manor which provide private desks, power and studio inspired décor, complete with theatrical “On Air” lights when in use.
Virgin is also trialling wellness options, including complimentary meditation pods and a pop‑up spa offering express treatments using premium skincare brands. Both initiatives are temporary for now as the airline gauges demand.
This refresh marks the beginning of a wider update to the Clubhouse, with more enhancements expected later in the year. For business travellers, the changes bring a more polished mix of productivity, privacy and Virgin‑style flair, a welcome evolution of one of Heathrow’s most recognisable lounges.
