Premium rail operator Canyon Spirit has reported a sharp rise in demand for its Rockies to the Red Rocks journey, with guest numbers for 2026 almost doubling year‑on‑year.
With limited availability left for this season, the company has opened early bookings for 2027 — and is offering complimentary Premier upgrades worth £775 per person on selected US Southwest rail packages.
Running between Denver, Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah, the promotion applies to curated itineraries built around the popular route and includes access to an exclusive lounge car, elevated dining and premium beverages. The ‘All Aboard America’ offer is valid on selected departure dates from 23 June to 21 July 2026.
Canyon Spirit — formerly operating as Rocky Mountaineer — rebranded for the 2026 season and expanded its two‑day Denver–Moab service with a new extension to Salt Lake City. The resulting three‑day journey has proved a major draw for both domestic and international travellers, contributing to the surge in bookings.
The route showcases some of the Southwest’s most dramatic landscapes, from deep canyons and red‑rock formations to the winding Colorado River. Onboard, guests experience hosted service, regional storytelling and menus built around locally sourced ingredients.
Packages for 2027 start from £4,700 per person for the four‑night Rail Classic, which includes hotel stays in Salt Lake City, Glenwood Springs, Moab and Denver. The five‑night Mighty 5 Explorer (from £8,531 per person) pairs the two‑day rail journey with guided tours of Utah’s national parks, including Bryce Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands and Arches.
