Steam Dreams Rail Co. is inviting families to make Christmas memories aboard The Santa Steam Express, returning to London for two magical Saturdays this December.
Running on Saturday, 12 December and Saturday, 19 December 2026, the enchanting 90-minute steam-hauled experience departs from London Victoria with four departures each day at 09:30, 11:45, 15:15 and 17:15.
Hauled by a historic steam locomotive, beautifully decorated vintage carriages provide the backdrop for an unforgettable festive adventure, where nostalgic steam travel meets immersive Christmas entertainment. Throughout the circular journey, guests will be entertained by an interactive travelling theatre as Santa’s cheeky elves fill the train with festive songs, laughter and enchanting tales from the North Pole, ensuring every carriage is filled with Christmas magic.
Every child will enjoy a personal visit with Santa, receive a traditional gift, festive newsletter and activity sheet, plus a snack and drink during the journey. Adults can relax with freshly brewed tea or coffee accompanied by a traditional mince pie, served by Steam Dreams’ friendly onboard team.

Passengers can choose from three classes of travel:
Coach Class – from £45 per person
Sit back and relax in a beautifully decorated 1950s or 1960s carriage with comfortable seating around tables for four and large picture windows. Santa and his merry elves will visit every family, making this the perfect choice for groups of four or eight.
Club Class – from £65 per person
Sink into plush cushioned seating around spacious tables for two or four in a festively decorated 1950s or 1960s carriage, complete with vintage table lamps and nostalgic touches. Ideal for parties of two, four or six.
Private Compartment – £575 per compartment (up to six guests)
Enjoy the luxury of your own exclusive 1950s-style compartment, complete with wood-panelled walls and charming period details. Includes seasonal refreshments, a personal visit from Santa and his elves, and a traditional gift for every child.
