Moldova will celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Wine Day on 3–4 October 2026, unveiling a refreshed programme under the slogan United by Wine.

What began as a domestic celebration has grown into one of Europe’s notable open-air cultural events, drawing thousands of visitors and strengthening the country’s profile as a rising wine destination.

The anniversary edition will bring expanded winery participation and curated experiences designed to spotlight the diversity and quality of Wine of Moldova.

Ștefan Iamandi, Director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, says the milestone reflects both heritage and Moldova’s ambition to compete globally, blending long-standing traditions with modern innovation.

The national brand Wine of Moldova. Unexpectedly Great. continues to lift international recognition, with exports now reaching more than 70 countries — around 60% of them in Europe — and contributing roughly 3% of GDP and nearly 8% of national exports.

Visitors heading to Chișinău for the October celebrations can expect a vibrant showcase of wineries, tastings and cultural programming, positioning Moldova as one of Europe’s most distinctive emerging wine destinations.
