Turkish Airlines has teamed up with Uber to hand Business Class passengers a £100 voucher towards their ride to London Stansted, in a promotion running until the end of 2026.

The offer applies to Business Class tickets on three of the carrier’s Stansted services to Istanbul, flights TK1242, TK1244 and TK1246, and covers connections beyond the Turkish hub across the airline’s network, the largest by countries served of any carrier. For UK business travellers weighing up the cost of a premium fare from Essex, the voucher effectively removes one of the biggest hidden expenses of flying from Stansted: the ground transfer.

Tickets must be purchased between 8 July 2026 and 31 December 2026, with travel completed within the same window.

How the offer works

Claiming the voucher is a manual process rather than an automatic perk. Eligible passengers book a Business Class ticket on one of the three qualifying flights, then email their reservation number to ubervoucher@thy.com. The £100 credit is issued for the Uber journey to the airport, turning the door-to-terminal leg into part of the premium package rather than an out-of-pocket extra.

For SMEs, that is a meaningful saving. An Uber from central London to Stansted typically represents a significant chunk of a trip budget, and the voucher brings the true cost of a Business Class fare closer to the headline price. Finance teams should note the credit applies to the outbound transfer to Stansted, so travellers will still need to arrange and expense their journey home.

The tie-up also reflects Uber’s growing push into premium ground transport, following the launch of its chauffeur-led Uber Elite service aimed squarely at corporate riders.

The promotion lands only months after Turkish Airlines launched its London Stansted route, which gave the carrier a third London gateway and extended its UK network to six destinations. Sweetening the premium cabin with ground transport credit suggests the airline is serious about winning business traffic at an airport better known for low-cost leisure flying.

It also comes as the carrier posts strong numbers. Turkish Airlines reported a record May with 7.9 million passengers, helped by the continued rise of Istanbul Airport as a transfer hub for long-haul connections to Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

For companies based in East London, Cambridge, or along the M11 corridor, the offer strengthens the case for routing one-stop long-haul trips through Istanbul from a local airport rather than trekking to Heathrow. Stansted has no Underground link, which makes a funded door-to-door car journey particularly useful for early departures and late arrivals.
