Pendry reaches new milestone as it prepares to bring its signature contemporary hospitality experience to Barbados with a new resort featuring 80 guestrooms and suites and 46 Pendry Residences
Pendry Barbados, the first Caribbean resort from Pendry Hotels & Resorts, celebrated the topping off of Pendry Barbados and Pendry Residences Barbados, marking a major milestone as the resort approaches its 2027 opening.
Located along Barbados’ northwest coastline near historic Speightstown, Pendry Barbados—designed in partnership with architects Robert Glazier and HKS, and the award-winning Studio Munge—will introduce Pendry’s signature hospitality to the island. The resort will feature 80 oceanfront guestrooms and suites, Spa Pendry and a curated mix of vibrant dining and social spaces, from a signature restaurant to dockside venues overlooking the marina. Wellness and family offerings will include a state-of-the-art fitness center, Compass Sports and Paintbox Children’s Club. A dedicated Celebration Building will house event spaces, creating opportunities for gatherings and special occasions. Together, these elements create a resort experience that reflects the relaxed pace of the Platinum Coast while offering a vibrant setting for multigenerational connection.
“Barbados represents an exciting next chapter for Pendry as we prepare to open the first Pendry in the Caribbean,” said Michael Fuerstman, co-founder of Pendry Hotels & Resorts. “The island’s vibrant culture, strong sense of community and stunning coastline made it a natural fit for Pendry.”
Pendry Residences Barbados will offer a limited collection of 46 private homes ranging from two to five bedrooms starting at $2.7 million, as well as a private 110-berth marina that will be home to Pendry Yacht Club, the brand’s first-of-its-kind offering. The residences, designed with bespoke interiors by RH and seamless indoor-outdoor living, accommodate both entertaining and everyday living with generous layouts, expansive terraces and sweeping views of the ocean or marina. Select ground-floor homes will include private gardens and infinity-edge pools, extending the sense of outdoor living that defines the island. Ownership will be supported by Pendry’s dedicated residential liaisons, assisting with day-to-day needs and ensuring residences are professionally maintained when not in use. Residences and marina berths are now available for private ownership.
Barbados continues to attract international travellers for its ease of access and year-round appeal, with direct flights from major U.S., UK and Canadian gateways and a long-standing reputation as one of the Caribbean’s most established luxury destinations. Known for its natural beauty, vibrant culture and welcoming atmosphere, the island offers a distinct identity that aligns naturally with Pendry’s design-driven, experience-led approach to hospitality.
